Answer long time coming.
It was a specialized communication system mounted on a modified Jeep. The system also included a trailer with a generator. Radios covered HF, VHF FM, and UHF for communication with aircraft.
The system was used for foward air control, many lost in Vietnam.

Yes, I know this is an ancient thread but here goes:

The An/MRC-107A Communications Central was consisted of the following units:

M-151A1/A2 quarter ton "Jeep" upgraded with a 100 Amp 24V generator and overload springs. Mounted inside across the rear half was the AN/GRC-155A communications pallet that had 4 radios: 1 UHF-AM 225.0-399.5 MHz aeronautical radio; 1 VHF-AM 116.000-149.975 MHz aeronautical; 1 HF-AM 2.00-29.95 MHz ground to ground radio; and 1 VHF-FM 30.00-75.95 ground to ground radio. The M151 towed an M-416 quarter ton trailer that contained an MEP-25 gasoline 24v generator, a "portable" AN/PRC-47 HF-AM radio and a portable AN/PRC-66 UHF-AM radio

Oh, I drove and operated one of these for 11 years in the USAF before they were replaced by AN/GRC-206 Comm Rack in HMMWVs.
